Dental Implants
Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that are implanted into the jaw bone to replace a missing tooth. Dental implants are a permanent solution to tooth loss. Bone Grafting
Bone grafting procedures are performed with local anesthetics. The dentist will begin the procedure by removing the bone from the donor site. If the patient does not have enough bone, a graft will be taken from a tissue bank. If the dentist is performing an extraction, the graft will be placed using the incision left from the extraction. For a dental implant procedure, the dentist would place the bone graft alongside the implant. If the graft is being performed for another procedure, the dentist will make an incision in the area of concern and carefully place the bone graft.

Gum Grafting
Gum Graft is a procedure that helps reverse gum recession and it is one of the most delicate procedures performed in dentistry today. A recession to the gums is when the gum surrounding the tooth has pulled away, causing the roots of the teeth to become exposed. During a gum graft procedure, a small strip of gum tissue is usually taken from your palate to cover the exposed root. This can be done for one tooth or several teeth. The main goal of grafting is to restore the health of the gum tissue and to prevent further recession and damage to the tooth.
