Procedure Day
Local anesthetic is administered. The procedure takes 1–2 hours depending on the number of teeth involved. Patients are awake and comfortable throughout.

Tissue Removal
Excess gum tissue is carefully removed and the gumline recontoured. If bone adjustment is needed, a small amount is removed to establish the correct biological width.

Healing Period
The gums require 2–3 months to fully heal and stabilize before a permanent crown can be placed. A temporary restoration maintains function in the interim.
